The workshop introduces participants to traditional life and culture of various ethnic groups in West Africa. The programs include traditional festivals, outdooring ceremonies, religious dances, and marriage rites. Participants of our workshops learn different kinds of Africa dance including:

• Adowa is a dance performed during funerals and at other ceremonies such as traditional festivals among the Ashanti in Ghana.

• Kpalongo is a festive dance of work and happiness among the Gas of Southern Ghana.

• Bima: Is a dance from Northern Ghana. It is performed on special occasions
to entertain royalty.

This program will cater for students in the evenings and on weekends. It will run during the semester, and can be extended during the school vacation. In addition, short programs can be organized for institutions
